Mr. Smith serves as Vice President of Drilling for Maverick. He has acquired his drilling and production experience working in all aspects of drilling operations from the rig floor up, during a career in the oil field spanning several decades. During the early stages of short radius development Mr. Smith became the most experienced operator of the technology that was the predecessor to the current Amoco System. Mr. Smith rejoined Mr. McCabe in 1996 and headed all field operations while completely refurbishing a two thousand acre oil field in Louisiana.
